Just some thoughts/observations for the week…
- Ruby is slow
- Merb is the new “it” framework (sh*t, I just got Rails down)
- It seems like 99.9% of Rails developers are Java people
- Along those same lines, it seems that 100% of Rails developers have been doing some kind of development since they were in the womb.
- Regardless of how much I think I know, I’m always reminded that I don’t know as much as I’d like.
- There are parts of The Rails Way that are a taken, word for word, from the Rails API (who knew?)
As you can probably tell from reading this (as if anybody’s really reading this), I’ve had a loooooonnnnnnng week (and its only Wednesday). But its all good because I’m going to sunny Miami this weekend with the fellas. After going to Orlando for acts_as_conference, followed by a tough week at work, I’m going to party like its 1999. I’m not even going to take my laptop – well, let’s not get crazy. I feel naked without my laptop. But that’s not the point. I’m going to have fun.
